Hey, I decided to try out a new template to help streamline the production of my webcomics. Hope you guys like the new format.
I’m currently taking 2D Effects Animation, Senior Project II, and Animation Portfolio. This is my last quarter in SCAD, and happens to the be hardest one I ever had here. I’ve been really busy with a lot of things, building a porfolio package to send out to animation companies, finishing my senior animation, and learning the difficult craft of 2D effects animation. It’s tough, I’m losing a lot of sleep, but I’m doing my best to get through all of this.
2D effects is pretty interesting. It’s a lot different from the usual character animation that I’ve been doing in the Animation Program. It requires a different approach to analyzing movement. We’ve studied how fire works and currently that’s what we’re animating now. Unfortunately my first test of fire had some problems that I had to fix, but he told us to just let go of our drawings and start over. But it’s due Monday, and I need to get cracking on it on top of all of the other work I have now.
This is a video a friend sent me the other day. Fighting game fans would enjoy the humor from this, otherwise you’ll either be mildly entertained or don’t get it all…. It totally made my day when I came home from animating last night.
Yup, another 4 day update spree to make up for the last few updates. I’ve decided to do things a little differently around here. My spring quarter here at SCAD will be the toughest quarter I’ve had, so it’s going to be hard to keep up with everything. So because of that, I’m going to start incorporating sketches from my portable sketchbook whenever I’m unable to get a webcomic up. That way you can also check out the other things I draw as well!
If you haven’t noticed, I haven’t been able to keep up with my update schedule for the past two weeks, so I’m gonna make up for it with 4 consecutive days of The Other Disney webcomic goodness. Freaking awesome!
As for the reason for not updating, I’ve been working on my Senior Animation this quarter at SCAD and it’s been a rough ride recently trying to finish it all up. So I’ve been putting all my efforts into that, but don’t worry I’ll still be updating with more webcomics so please do check back again for more of The Other Disney! Woo!
Yes, can you believe it? I uploaded! I’ll be following my regular update schedule next week, Mondays and Thursdays. For now, I’ll be adding older comics on Mondays and current comics will be on Thursdays. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my site, stay tuned for more!
